“Men in Black” fans may one day find themselves watching a “Humans in Black” trailer if actress Tessa Thompson has her way.

Chris Hemsworth’s costar in the latest adventure for the “galaxy defenders” isn’t keen on the franchise’s title. She recently told reporters that she tried to nudge producers in a more politically correct direction for “Men in Black: International” without much luck — this time.

“I pitched some ideas like ’People in Black,’ but that would be ’PiB,’ which sounds like a sandwich. I pitched ’Humans in Black,’ which would be ’HiB,’ which sounds like something you don’t want to get,” Ms. Thompson said, The Associated Press reported Wednesday.

Similar sentiments were recently shared by Marvel Studios producer Victoria Alonso regarding the “X-Men” movies.

“I don’t know where [the franchise is] going to go,” she told Nuke the Fridge’s Luis Lecca, the entertainment website Bounding into Comics reported. “We’ll see. They just now have joined [Disney’s control]. They have a movie [“Dark Phoenix”] coming out soon, which under that banner is their last film. So, we’ll see what time will tell.”

Ms. Thompson also paired with Mr. Hemsworth in the 2017 film “Thor: Ragnarok.”

“Men in Black: International,” directed by F. Gary Gray, domestically debuts Friday.
