PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man is facing numerous charges after allegedly stealing a car with a 5-year-old boy inside at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Phoenix police say 28-year-old Scott Eric Duran has been booked into jail on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, auto theft, endangerment, prohibited weapons possession and unlawful flight.

The vehicle was taken from Terminal 4 around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

A patrol unit located the stolen car on Sky Harbor Boulevard and when it came to a stop in front of Terminal 2, Duran was arrested.

Police say the child wasn’t injured and was quickly reunited with his mother.

It was unclear Monday if Duran has a lawyer yet who can speak on his behalf.
