HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) - A woman has been given four to five years in prison for embezzling nearly $100,000 from her former employer.
Adams County District Court records say the sentencing of 49-year-old Sandra Scheffler, of Clay Center, was filed Thursday. She’d pleaded no contest to theft.
Court documents say she began work as a bookkeeper in November 2016 at Hastings Motor Sales/Dykeman’s Camper Place and took more than $98,000 before she was fired in May 2018.
