OPINION:
With the threat of tariffs just days away, Mexico finally agreed to help stem the flow of illegal immigrants travelling through their country to get to our southern border. The results President Trump gets are amazing. He’s been a superior leader compared to at least the past four presidents.
To me, Mr. Trump’s most revealing statement in the whole last presidential campaign was, “[P]oliticians are stupid. They’re babies … we hold all the cards.”
What’s amazing is that Mr. Trump, as a private citizen his whole life, knew his skills and knowledge could make such a radical difference for the country. And making Mexico acquiesce to our demands is just part of how he plays his ’cards’ to maximum advantage for the benefit of the American people.
Whoever and whenever the next president takes office, Mr. Trump will leave behind a template for them of how business is now done in the Oval Office.
