Safety Landon Collins said he now feels at home with the Washington Redskins after going through OTAs. He’s even eager to take on former teammates.
Speaking with reporters at his charity softball game in Pomona, New York, Collins said he has “been ready” to tackle Giants running back Saquon Barkley when the two meet this fall.
“All love to him and he’s been doing his thing as we all know,” Collins said of Barkley, the NFL’s reigning offensive rookie of the year. “But when I get to meet him in the hole this time, it’s going to be full-go.”
Collins left the Giants in free agency to sign a six-year, $84 million deal with the Redskins. But the Giants also let Collins walk, opting not to use the franchise tag on him.
“I don’t feel like I bleed blue anymore,” Collins said, via NorthJersey.com.
The Redskins face the Giants twice next season — on the road Sept. 29 and at home Dec. 22.
