SEATTLE (AP) - Police have arrested a man in connection to a Memorial Day shooting at a South Seattle beach that injured a woman and two children.
The Seattle Times reports the 20-year-old man was arrested in Bellevue Thursday and booked into King County Jail on investigation of drive-by shooting, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
A Seattle police spokeswoman says he was under state Department of Corrections supervision after a 2016 conviction for robbery.
Witnesses told detectives that two groups began shooting at each other in the parking lot of Pritchard Island Beach park about 7 p.m. Monday.
A 27-year-old woman and her 10-month-old son were shot as she held her baby in a car. A 10-year-old girl was also hit.
Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg says the woman was in satisfactory condition Friday, while the two children have been released.
