PHOENIX (AP) - A former Arizona State University point guard has been named to replace NBA veteran Mike Bibby as a Phoenix high school head coach.

The Arizona Republic reported Monday that Curtis Millage will take over for Bibby who was terminated from his coaching position at Shadow Mountain High School earlier this year following allegations of sexual abuse and harassment.

Phoenix police investigated the allegations involving a teacher and did not find probable cause for charges.

Millage was an assistant coach for Chandler-Gilbert Community College following a professional basketball career in Europe and China.

Bibby played on the University of Arizona team that won the 1997 NCAA national championship. He played in the NBA from 1998 to 2012.

Millage says Bibby gave him his blessing for his new role.
