MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a man who confronted another man about shooting off fireworks and then fatally stabbed him has been charged with murder in southwest Ohio.

The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reports Middletown police say 36-year-old Kenneth Roesch, of Middletown, has been arrested and charged for Friday night’s slaying of 41-year-old Carlton Brock, of Hamilton.

Police say the two men got into an altercation and Roesch stabbed Brock several times in the upper torso.

Roesch is scheduled to appear in court Monday. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
