LAS VEGAS (AP) - Fireworks and fires sparked by them kept police officers and firefighters busy overnight in metro Las Vegas.

Police say Las Vegas officers enforcing fireworks laws issued just over 100 citations in the metro area.

The Las Vegas fire department says firefighters responded to multiple fires, mostly of them outside buildings and mostly related to fireworks.

The Clark County Fire Department reports its firefighters responded to 168 fire calls between 5 p.m. Thursday and 1:30 a.m. Friday., with 13 of those for building fires with damages.
