CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Coast Guard says the body of a boater who had been missing for two days has been found in a South Carolina river.

News outlets report the body of 30-year-old Terrance Singleton was discovered Friday morning in the Ashley River.

The Coast Guard says it found his crabbing boat in Charleston Harbor with no one aboard Wednesday afternoon , along with live bait, a shoe and fresh catch.

Capt. John Reed, commander of Coast Guard Sector Charleston, says federal, state and local agencies were involved in the search for Singleton. Search and rescue operations stretched over more than 1,600 square miles (4,100 square kilometers) for more than 36 hours.
