Former DeMatha star Markelle Fultz hasn’t played in an NBA game since last November. His current team — the Orlando Magic — don’t appear to know when the 2017 first overall pick is set to return, either.
Magic coach Steve Clifford told NBA TV recently that there is no timetable for Fultz, who is recovering from thoracic outlet syndrome — a condition that has affected the guard’s ability to shoot.
Fultz’ career has taken an odd turn as the 21-year-old has only appeared in 14 and 19 games in each of his first two seasons. Last year, the Philadelphia 76ers traded him to the Orlando Magic in exchange for veteran Jonathon Simmons and a first-round pick.
Despite there not being a timetable, Clifford expressed confidence in Fultz:
