MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul is looking for public comment as he drafts legal opinions.
Kaul announced Monday that he’s set up a new website where people can comment on pending requests for attorney general opinions. All commentary will be subject to the state’s open records law.
Kaul said in a news release that he wants to make the opinion-writing process as transparent and open to the public as possible.
According to the website, no one has requested Kaul deliver any legal opinions yet. Kaul took office in January after defeating incumbent Republican Brad Schimel in November’s elections.
