At the risk of being called racist — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley ought to retire to their congressional corners, crack open a copy of the Constitution and spend some quiet time, some alone time, some valuable time, sitting and reading.

Maybe then they’d get a sense of how the public servant class is supposed to operate in this country.

Maybe then they’d start to glean the idea that while in other countries, notions like law and order are left in the hands of the ruling pols to define, here in America, land of the democratic-republic, an actual Constitution guides, a limited government concept prevails, and justice, at least the quest for it, no matter how the media and far-left spin, is color blind.

Humility, anyone? How about truth, at least?

If they understood that, there’d be no cause for tweets like this, from Ocasio-Cortez: “Mr. President … given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps …”

As if we’re supposed to forget Barack Obama’s role in these border detention facilities. As if we’re supposed to pretend that protecting America’s borders by detaining illegal crossers is some kind of crime.

Or this, another tweet from Ocasio-Cortez: “You know what we’re going to do tomorrow? Same thing we do every week. Fight for: Living wages & unions. A humane border. Healthcare + edu as rights. Loosening the grip of corp lobbyists on our democracy. …”

As if the free market and capitalism were unjust systems, needful of overturning. As if law plus order at the border equals inhumanity.

Or this, a retweet from Omar of a Daily Beast headline: “Trump is a Racist. If You Still Support Him, So Are You.”

That’s a ridiculous headline, a ridiculous viewpoint. That a sitting member of Congress would retweet, as if in agreement, is beyond ridiculous.

Or this, a statement from Pressley tweeted by Mother Jones, about migrant families: “These families need trauma support, case workers, clean water, adequate and nutritious food. Instead they have received a level of degradation we should be ashamed is occurring on American soil.”

As if we’re supposed to ignore the fact that these migrants came to America voluntarily. As if we’re supposed to spend tax dollars on outsiders first, citizens second.

Or this, a retweet from Tlaib from MoveOn, telling illegals how to avoid deportation: “If @ICEgov doesn’t have a warrant … Do not open the door … #TrumpRaids.”

As if we’re supposed to buy the idea that federal immigration agents don’t have the legal and moral authority to perform their immigration duties — that they’re simply storm-trooping the streets, thuggishly throwing poor downtrodden migrants into their vans and brutishly carting them south, dumping their bodies across the border.

The problem with these four freshmen isn’t that they’re loud and annoying — though it’s true, they are both loud-mouthed and whiningly annoying.

The problem is they know nothing of America’s greatness. They know zilch about the Constitution. They arrogantly think they’re the socialists’ saviors of a country that was never intended to be socialist. They pretend as if they’re rulers rather than tax-paid servants of the people. And — and this is the biggest — they’re been able to run roughshod over the Democratic Party, calling out even long-time libbers like Nancy Pelosi as racist when they don’t get their way.

The freshmen need controlling.

If Democratic leadership can’t do it, hopefully — for the good of the country, for the sanity of an eye-rolling nation — voters will.
