SEATTLE (AP) - A 29-year-old man has been charged with assault after three people were stabbed in Seattle Tuesday.

The Seattle Times reports Christopher Morisette was charged Thursday with one count of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.

Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg says a man with a knife wound to the neck was discharged Thursday.

Gregg says another man who was stabbed in the back also was treated at the hospital.

Documents say Morisette stabbed another man in the arm who was attacked when Morisette tried to take his phone.

Court records show Morisette has a history of assaults and has spent years in and out of jail and mental-health facilities. He remains jailed in lieu of $750,000 bail.

His mother Susan Morisette says he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a child and that he did well until adulthood.
