Washington Mystics star Elena Delle Donne was named WNBA Eastern Conference player of the month for June, the fifth time in her career she received the monthly honor.

She also captured player of the week honors for the second straight week.

Delle Donne averaged 17.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game during June, leading the Mystics on a five-game winning streak that included four road victories. She had three double-doubles in June, most recently June 29 when she posted 19 points and 10 rebounds in the Mystics’ blowout victory over the Connecticut Sun.

By securing that win, the Mystics surpassed Connecticut and took over first place in the WNBA with a 9-3 record.

This is the third time Delle Donne won player of the month in the last four months it was available after taking it home in June and August of the 2018 season.
