Ashley Judd’s sexual harassment lawsuit against former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has reportedly been dismissed.

According to TMZ, U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez dismissed her lawsuit on the grounds that the relationship between a producer and an actress is not covered by the laws making sexual harassment an offense over which a person can sue.

Further, the celebrity-news website wrote, while “the law was changed in 2018 to cover such relationships, […] the judge said it could not be applied retroactively.”

According to Ms. Judd’s lawsuit, Mr. Weinstein blacklisted her after she refused his sexual advances, even preventing her from being hired for Peter Jackson’s triple-blockbuster “Lord of the Rings” movies.
