LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak has named a longtime staffer for Democratic U.S. Rep. Dina Titus as his replacement on the Clark County Commission.
Sisolak’s office announced Tuesday that the Democrat named Michael Naft to the commission seat representing areas south and west of the Las Vegas Strip.
Sisolak spent a decade on the Clark County Commission, which oversees the Strip and surrounding communities, before being elected governor in November.
He was sworn into office on Monday.
Naft served as Titus’ district director.
Sisolak says in a statement that Naft has “an incredible record of public service.”
Titus in a statement says Naft has been a “trusted advisor and skilled leader” in her Las Vegas office.
