President Trump and senior staffers are spending the weekend in a strategy retreat at Camp David headed at the direction of new acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney.

Staffers will arrive at the Maryland retreat for the planning sessions on Saturday, and the president will join them on Sunday. The meeting comes amid a partial government shutdown over Democrats’ refusal to fund Mr. Trump’s demand for a border wall.

“Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney invited White House Senior Staff to Camp David for a staff retreat to lay out the administration’s 2019 priorities,” said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “President Trump will join the team and lead meetings on Sunday.”
