REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged two people in what’s described as an organized shoplifting spree.

A news release said that troopers responded Friday morning to reports of shoplifting at a Nike outlet in Rehoboth Beach.

The suspects had fled, but troopers obtained a vehicle description.

After a traffic stop, troopers discovered they had outstanding warrants on shoplifting charges and stolen merchandise in their car. The news release said the pair had shoplifted at other businesses in recent weeks including Tommy Hilfiger, Marshalls and Adidas.

Donald L. Dailey Jr., 32, and Ashley N. Cannon, 27, both of Milford, face multiple charges including organized retail theft, conspiracy and shoplifting.

A state police spokeswoman said she didn’t have information on whether the two have attorneys.
