TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Police in Massachusetts are looking for a New Hampshire man they say stabbed a 17-year-old boy during an attempt to steal a pair of expensive sneakers.

Tyngsborough police said Friday that 19-year-old Dequan Hagen, of Nashua, New Hampshire, is wanted on several charges including armed robbery and home invasion.

Chief Richard Howe said in a statement that Hagen went to the younger teen’s home to buy the Adidas Yeezys, which can sell for hundreds of dollars.

Police say Hagen tried to flee without paying and an altercation took place. They say Hagen left the home, got a knife from his car, forced his way back into the home, and stabbed the other teen in the abdomen.

The victim was flown to a Boston hospital and is expected to survive.
