President Trump criticized the FBI for how it handled arresting Roger Stone last week.

In an interview with The Daily Caller released Thursday, Mr. Trump said he’s tried to stay out of the situation with Mr. Stone but was upset with the manner in which his former campaign associate was arrested.

“But I will say, I’m speaking for a lot of people that were very disappointed to see that go down that way,” he said. “To see it happen where it was on camera, on top of it. That was a very, very disappointing scene.”

The FBI arrested Mr. Stone before dawn last Friday on charges of witness tampering, obstruction, and making false statements regarding the publication of hacked DNC emails in 2016.

The president criticized the FBI hours after the arrest for supposedly tipping off CNN to film the arrest.

CNN denied having information from the special counsel’s office and said their reporter went there on a hunch.

During the interview, however, when asked if he would ask the FBI to review its policies for cases like Mr. Stone, the president said he would consider it.
