GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Gettysburg College is turning to a senior administrator at Harvard University to take over as its new president later this year.

The school said Wednesday that Harvard vice president and general counsel Robert Iuliano (YOO’-lee-ahn-oh) was the trustees’ unanimous choice to take the reins on July 1 from retiring Gettysburg President Janet Morgan Riggs.

At Harvard, the 57-year-old Iuliano has been a leader in financial matters, including fundraising, as well as admissions and student body diversity issues.

He’s also been a lecturer at Harvard’s college and graduate school of education.
