NEW YORK (AP) - The Latest on the arrest of a woman charged in the death of an unlicensed cosmetic surgery patient (all times local):

A New York City woman accused of killing a patient at an illegal cosmetic surgery clinic has pleaded not guilty to charges including manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
Whalesca Castillo was arraigned Thursday in in the June 17, 2018, death of Lesbia Ayala, of Philadelphia.
Prosecutors say Ayala traveled to the Bronx to receive liquid silicone injections into her buttocks and thighs. They say she suffered a fatal embolism after the procedure.
The charges in Ayala’s death are not Castillo’s first brush with the law. She served a year in prison in 2011 and nine months in 2014 on charges relating to operating an illegal medical clinic.
Castillo’s attorney, Robert Osuna, said any loss of life is a tragedy but that his client is presumed innocent.

The New York Times reports that 44-year-old Whalesca Castillo served a year in prison in 2011 and nine months in 2014 on charges relating to operating an illegal medical clinic.
Castillo was charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide Wednesday in the June 17 death of Lesbia Ayala, of Philadelphia.
Authorities say Ayala had an embolism when Castillo injected silicone into her buttocks and thighs.
Castillo is expected to appear in court Thursday. Her attorney, Robert Osuna, told the Times he could not comment on the charges.
Court papers from her earlier arrests show Castillo charged $1,500 for each procedure.
