BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police say two men have been charged in an armed robbery at an Alabama gas station.
Birmingham police told news outlets on Thursday that 22-year-olds Robert Jackson and Solomon Minatee were arrested in the holdup at a Shell station store this month. No injuries were reported.
Police Sgt. Johnny Williams says surveillance video captured the men in the area about 10 minutes before the Jan. 6 robbery. Police say the two entered the store, one brandished a pistol and they demanded money from the clerk. They ran from the store afterward.
Jackson and Minatee were both charged with robbery. Williams says Jackson was also charged in two other robberies that happened the day after the Shell one.
It is unclear if the men have lawyers who could comment.
