Michael Cohen will comply with a Senate subpoena, his attorney Lanny Davis told CNN Thursday night.
“We will comply and hope to agree upon reasonable terms, ground rules and a date,” Mr. Davis told the network.
Mr. Davis’ statement comes hours after the Senate Intelligence Committee subpoenaed him Thursday to testify sometime in mid-February.
Cohen was scheduled to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Feb. 7 but backed out citing threats by President Trump and his current attorney Rudy Giuliani.
Both houses of Congress are anxious to hear Cohen’s testimony before he reports to prison on March 6. Last month, Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison for tax fraud, campaign finance violations and lying to Congress.
