SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has announced it will soon launch nonstop flights from Burlington International Airport to Denver and Orlando.
Airport Aviation Director Gene Richards said Wednesday Frontier will start flying to Orlando Feb. 9 and to Denver May 1.
Richards says the Orlando flights have booked quickly so far, and he expects the same for the Denver flights.
The Orlando flights are on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Denver flights are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Frontier is the fifth airline to serve Burlington International Airport along with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue and United Airlines.
Airport officials say they saw more than 670,000 passengers board a plane in 2018, a 14 percent increase from 2017.
