Bradley Beal was right.
The Wizards star was not named an All-Star starter on Thursday, a day after Beal predicted he would not be among the group. That means Beal will have to be voted in by NBA coaches to be an All-Star for the second straight season.
Boston’s Kyrie Irving, Charlotte’s Kemba Walker, Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Toronto’s Kawhi Leonard and Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid were voted in as starters.
Fans, media and players accounted for the vote, with fans receiving 50 percent.
Beal received the 10th-most fan votes to start, but was third among players. He received seven votes from the media, placing fifth.

Golden State’s Steph Curry, Houston’s James Harden, the Lakers’ LeBron James, Golden State’s Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City’s Paul George were named in the West.
The 10 reserves — five in each conference — will be announced next Thursday.
Beal is averaging 24.7 points, five rebounds and five assists per game this season.
