ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - A St. George family has dedicated a park bench to a teenager who disappeared in 2015.

The Spectrum newspaper reports the bench at Crimson Ridge Park was donated to the family by a local metal working company in honor of 17-year-old Macin Smith.

It is emblazoned with his name, birthday, the day he went missing and the phrase, “Never give up; never surrender.” It is blue, favorite color.

His mother Tracey Smith says the bench is an “amazing gift” that provides some closure, though his family is not giving up the search.

Macin Smith was last seen at his home in the Little Valley area of St. George on Sept. 1, 2015. Multiple searches held over the years involving numerous public agencies and hundreds of volunteers have turned up no concrete clues about his whereabouts.
