NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say eight Pennsylvania teenagers have been arrested for stealing cars from two companies at the Port of Wilmington.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that police say the cars were stolen from Trans Cargo and Auto Port Inc.

The Port of Wilmington says Trans Cargo ships more than 100,000 specially built cars and trucks to the Middle East, Africa and the Mediterranean each year. It works with AutoPort Inc., which modifies the vehicles.

The teens range in age from 15 to 18. Six are from Philadelphia.

Police say the teens are tied to nine incidents, dating to Oct. 31, 2018. They say 38 vehicles were stolen, half of which have been recovered.

They were arrested Saturday after troopers saw five teens scale the fence at Trans Cargo.
