DOGWOOD, Ind. (AP) - The National Weather Service has confirmed a second tornado struck southern Indiana this week.

It says the EF-1 twister with estimated peak winds of 105 mph touched down Monday afternoon in Spencer County, damaging at least three homes, mostly to their roofs and facia. A detached garage was destroyed with the debris thrown at least 300 yards. At least three metal farm buildings sustained minor roof damage in the tornado’s 3-mile path.

The weather service earlier confirmed a brief EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 100 mph caused damage on Monday in near the Harrison County community of Dogwood.
