BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Bismarck.

Officers responded to an alarm at U.S. Bank shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect had fled, prompting law enforcement to advise residents in the area to lock their doors and call police if they see anything suspicious. Three area schools were put on “shelter in place” status for a time as a precaution.

Police did not immediately determine whether the robber was armed, and there was no immediate word on how much he might have taken. No one was hurt.

Authorities say the suspect had his face covered by black glasses and a respirator mask.
