NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation is accepting nominations for the 2019 Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Awards.
According to the agency, nominees must be located in Tennessee and the projects they are nominated for must have been completed in 2018. Nominees can be individuals or organizations.
Awards will be presented in 10 categories. They are building green, clean air, energy and renewable resources, land use, materials management, natural heritage, sustainable performance, environmental education and outreach, and lifetime achievement.
The deadline for nominations is April 30 and awards will be announced in June.
