TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Former first lady Michelle Obama has postponed an appearance in Tacoma on Friday night over concerns about an impending snowstorm in the Northwest.

The Tacoma Dome says the appearance to promote her memoir, “Becoming,” has been rescheduled for March 24 and that tickets for the Friday appearance will be honored.

Obama tweeted that her “biggest priority is making sure everyone stays safe.”

The region was expected to get about 4 to 8 inches of snow.
