CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu is heading to Dubai on Wednesday to promote the FIRST Global robotics competition.

Sununu will join inventor Dean Kamen in the United Arab Emirates for an announcement about the program Kamen founded in Manchester in 1989. It went global in 2016, and now boasts 600,000 student participants in more than 100 countries.

Sununu also is attending a gathering of what his office called global government leaders and private-sector entrepreneurs to discuss the global rise of inequality. That meeting is a precursor to the annual World Government Summit being held in Dubai starting Feb. 10.

Sununu will return to New Hampshire Feb. 11.
