If anyone needed to fall asleep, the first half of this year’s Super Bowl should have done the trick.

Sunday’s game between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams featured more punts (8) than points (3) over a slow-paced two quarters of football.

“If you like offensive football, too bad,” CBS analyst Tony Romo said.

Indeed.

The Patriots lead 3-0 at the half, which did not go over well on Twitter:

The Rams, who got to the Super Bowl thanks to a revolutionary offense with Jared Goff and coach Sean McVay, mustered just 57 yards and two first downs.

New England has been a little better, but it hasn’t been able to capitalize on the Rams’ lack of success. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw an interception on his first pass attempt and kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed a 46-yarder.
