Colin Kaepernick won’t be playing in Sunday’s Super Bowl, but the free agent quarterback still has plenty of high-profile supporters.
NBA stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant are among the recent celebrities to sport Kaepernick’s “#IMWITHKAP” jersey. Kaepernick’s unemployment has been an ongoing topic for the NFL as commissioner Roger Goodell faced questions about it at his Super Bowl press conference last week.
Kaepernick called attention to James’ and Durant’s support on his Twitter account.

Kaepernick started selling the jersey in September, shortly after he became the face of Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign.
The 31-year-old, who was the first to kneel during the playing of the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police brutality, has been out of the NFL since 2016. His collusion grievance alleging owners colluded to keep him out of the NFL over his political stance is in litigation.
Besides James and Durant, Kaepernick retweeted photos of rapper Chamillionaire and Celtics guard Jaylen Brown also wearing the jersey.
