GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Sandy Cohen III had 24 points as Green Bay edged past Wright State 70-67 on Thursday night.
Tank Hemphill had 12 points for Green Bay (16-14, 10-7 Horizon League), which earned its fifth straight home victory. Kam Hankerson added 10 points.
Wright State trailed by 10 with just under four minutes to go before getting within three with 46 seconds left. But the Raiders missed two 3-point attempts in the final seven seconds, including one coming off an inbounds play with 1.5 remaining.
Green Bay scored 28 second-half points, a season low for the team.
Loudon Love had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Raiders (18-12, 12-5), whose six-game winning streak ended with the loss. Bill Wampler added 18 points. Malachi Smith had 12 points.
The Phoenix leveled the season series against the Raiders with the win. Wright State defeated Green Bay 87-75 on Jan. 26. Green Bay finishes out the regular season against Northern Kentucky at home on Saturday. Wright State finishes out the regular season against Milwaukee on the road on Saturday.
