DUNWOODY, Ga. (AP) - Police say a man accused of using a master key to steal property from numerous Georgia hotel rooms has been arrested.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday that Ryan Scott was charged with several offenses, including burglary and criminal trespass.

Dunwoody police were called to a Residence Inn by Marriott after a man said that his passport and other items had been stolen.

Sgt. Robert Parsons says Scott acquired a hotel master key and broke into at least five rooms. Parson tells WSB-TV that hotel staff reported the key missing Feb. 5. They later recognized him from security camera footage and spotted him at the hotel.

Police say Scott was coming out of another room when officers went to the hotel to find him. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer who could comment.
