WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) - Cameron Young had 25 points as Quinnipiac beat Monmouth 68-56 on Sunday. Rich Kelly added 22 points for the Bobcats.

Young made 12 of 13 from the free throw line. He added six rebounds.

Tyrese Williams had 10 points and nine rebounds for Quinnipiac (15-12, 10-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), which earned its fourth consecutive road victory. Kevin Marfo added seven rebounds.

Marcus McClary had 12 points for the Hawks (10-20, 9-8), whose losing streak reached four games. Mustapha Traore added 10 points. Diago Quinn had three blocks.

Deion Hammond, the Hawks’ leading scorer coming into the matchup at 12 points per game, shot only 20 percent in the game (2 of 10).

The Bobcats improve to 2-0 against the Hawks on the season. Quinnipiac defeated Monmouth 89-83 on Jan. 10. Quinnipiac takes on St. Peter’s on the road on Friday. Monmouth finishes out the regular season against Manhattan on the road on Friday.
