Former president Barack Obama is reportedly expected to attend Wednesday’s game between the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Duke Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The news hasn’t been officially confirmed, but according to The News & Observer, “unusual security measures” are in place ahead of the game. ESPN’s Jay Williams was the first to report about Obama’s visit.
Duke guard R.J. Barrett called Obama’s potential visit “amazing.”

This isn’t the only basketball-related item Obama has been linked to recently.
On Tuesday, Obama was on a panel with Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry in San Francisco. The NBA also announced Saturday the former president will be involved with the upstart “Africa Basketball League.”
Wednesday’s game starts at 9 p.m. The cheapest tickets were going for $2,500, comparable to the price of a Super Bowl ticket.
