ALBERTON, Mont. (AP) - A Burlington Northern Santa Fe locomotive hit a pickup truck in western Montana, sending one person to the hospital.
Authorities say collision occurred on Montana Rail Link tracks west of Alberton in Mineral County at about 9:40 a.m. Tuesday.
The Missoulian reports that the train struck the pickup on the passenger side and pushed the vehicle roughly a half mile (805 meters) down the track before it could stop.
No other details were immediately released, and the incident was under investigation.
