LAKEWOOD, Wash. (AP) - Authorities in western Washington say they’re looking for a man who shot a woman multiple times in a hotel parking lot.

Lakewood Police Lt. Chris Lawler tells the Seattle Times that the woman was shot at about 7:40 p.m. Friday by a man police believe to be her husband.

He left the scene on foot and authorities are trying to find him.

Police say the woman and man had been staying together in the hotel but got into an argument that ended up in the parking lot where the shooting occurred.

The woman was taken to Madigan Army Medical Center. Her condition wasn’t immediately known.

Names haven’t been released.
