Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid have settled their grievances with the NFL, the three parties announced Friday.
Kaepernick and Reid previously filed grievances against the league alleging that owners colluded to keep them out of the NFL because of their political protests.
In a joint statement, the parties failed to reveal if there was a financial settlement involved, citing a confidentiality agreement.
“For the past several months, counsel for Mr. Kaepernick and Mr. Reid have engaged in an ongoing dialogue with representatives of the NFL,” the three parties said in a statement. “As a result of those discussions, the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances. The resolution of this matter is subject to a confidentiality agreement so there will be no further comment by any party.”
Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since 2016. Reid became a free agent after the 2017 season and was not signed until late September.
