LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Kris Bankston came off the bench to score 11 points to carry Arkansas-Little Rock to a 56-52 win over Texas-Arlington on Thursday night.
Rayjon Tucker had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Arkansas-Little Rock (10-15, 5-7 Sun Belt Conference). Nikola Maric added 10 points and eight rebounds. Deondre Burns had 10 points for the hosts.
Arkansas-Little Rock totaled 30 second-half points, a season low for the team.
Brian Warren had 10 points for the Mavericks (12-13, 8-4). Jabari Narcis added 11 rebounds.
Edric Dennis, the Mavericks’ leading scorer heading into the contest at 15 points per game, scored only 6 points on 2-of-15 shooting.
The Trojans leveled the season series against the Mavericks with the win. Texas-Arlington defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 82-73 on Jan. 19. Arkansas-Little Rock faces Texas State at home on Saturday. Texas-Arlington faces Arkansas State on the road on Saturday.
