The Golden State Warriors know what it’s like to add a superstar in free agency. Now, Warriors coach Steve Kerr is rooting for the nearby San Francisco Giants to do the same.
The NBA coach was asked his thoughts about Harper potentially joining the Giants, who have reportedly offered the 26-year-old a “lucrative short-term” deal.
“It could be fun,” Kerr said. “I’d love it if Bryce Harper came here. Does my opinion matter? Bryce, come to the Giants! Let’s go. Is that true? Is that going around? Kind of? It’s exciting.”

Harper remains a free agent with pitchers and catchers set to report Tuesday.
If Harper joins the Giants, it won’t be exactly like Kevin Durant signing with the Warriors in 2016.
Golden State was coming off a 73-9 season, while the Giants went 73-89 last year.
