HOUSTON (AP) - A 17-year-old boy is in custody after investigators say he shot and wounded another teenager outside a Houston-area high school over a drug transaction.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on Friday identified the shooter as Mikael Necciosup, who was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was being held at the Harris County jail.

Gonzalez says the shooting occurred after school Thursday outside Atascocita High School, which is part of the Humble school district northeast of Houston.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was not seriously wounded and is recovering.

Gonzalez says there were students on campus at the time participating in after-school activities.

He says investigators were aided by the suspect’s social media postings that indicated his role in the shooting.
