ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Jordan Bruner scored 17 points, making 5 of 7 3-pointers, as Yale topped Albany 61-52 on Wednesday night.
Paul Atkinson had 14 points and nine rebounds for Yale (7-3), which has won four straight. Azar Swain added 11 points and Jalen Gabbidon had 10 points for the Bulldogs.The starters led the way for Yale, scoring all but nine points.
The Great Danes led 29-28 at halftime. After Jordan Bruner made a couple of 3-pointers to put Yale ahead 36-34 the Bulldogs kept the lead for the final 17 minutes, holding Albany to four points in the final six minutes in the process.
Cameron Healy had 17 points and six assists for the Great Danes (5-4). Ahmad Clark added 10 points. Romani Hansen had three blocks.
Yale faces Lehigh on the road on Saturday. Albany plays Bucknell on the road on Saturday.
