With Stephen Strasburg a free agent, the World Series MVP is apparently exploring the open market.
Strasburg met with the Los Angeles Dodgers last week and will meet with the New York Yankees soon, according to multiple reports. The 31-year-old opted out from the four years, $100 million remaining on his contract with the Nationals shortly after Washington celebrated its first championship.

In October, Strasburg became the first pitcher to go 5-0 in the postseason, finishing with a 1.98 ERA in six appearances. He also enjoyed a successful season in which he appeared in a league-leading 209 innings across 33 starts.
Both the Dodgers and the Yankees have pitching needs and historically have shown the willingness to open the checkbook to land a prized free agent. Strasburg is seen as the second-best pitcher on the market this year, trailing only Houston’s Gerrit Cole.
