Columbus, Ohio (AP) - Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is preparing to announce a pardon process for certain inmates that he promises will be simpler and faster.
The office of the Republican governor says the Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project targets individuals with clemency requests who have demonstrated they are now contributing members of society.
DeWine scheduled his announcement for Tuesday at the Ohio State law school in a presentation with Annette Chambers-Smith, the head of the state’s prison system.
