LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A federal murder trial date has been set for three men charged in the shooting death last year of a Lincoln woman.
A federal judge in Lincoln set trial for April 27, the Lincoln Journal Star reported. Tawhyne Patterson Sr., Damon Williams and Dante Williams are charged with murder and two counts of attempted robbery.
Another man, Ira Morrow, is charged with one count of attempted robbery, as is William Boothe III, who is also accused of being an accessory after the fact.
Morrow, Boothe, Patterson and Damon Williams also face charges of conspiracy to possess firearms during drug trafficking crimes and crimes of violence.
All are accused in the July 31, 2018, shooting death of 36-year-old Jessica Brandon at the Lincoln home she shared with her fiance. Investigators believe the men intended to rob Brandon’s fiance when she was killed.
Police have said surveillance cameras caught images of the men - with the exception of Boothe - casing the house and later forcing their way into the home and firing several shots.
